Ven. Bikkhu Bodhi will conduct a Dhamma discussion & a meditation session on Sunday the December 17 th from 3 to 5PM at the Unitarian Society premises at 176 Tices Lane East Brunswick, NJ 08816. 
BHIKKHU BODHI was born in New York City in 1944. He received a B.A. in philosophy from Brooklyn College (1966) and a Ph.D. in philosophy from Claremont Graduate School (1972). In late 1972, he went to Sri Lanka, where he was ordained as a Buddhist monk under the late Ven Balangoda Ananda Maitreya Mahanayake Thera. Since 1984, he has been editor of the Buddhist Publication Society in Kandy, and since 1988 its president. He is the author, translator, and editor of many books on Theravada Buddhism. The most important of these are The Discourse on the All-Embracing Net of Views (1978), A Comprehensive Manual of Abhidhamma(1993), The Middle Length Discourses of the Buddha (1995), and The Connected Discourses of the Buddha(2000). He is also a member of the World Academy of Arts and Science. At present he is residing at Bodhi Monastery in Lafayette, New Jersey.
The session will consist of a 1 ½ hour Dhamma Desana session directed towards both children and adults (in English), followed by a 30 minute loving kindness meditation session. 

Following the Dhamma Desana of Bhikku Bodhi, we are planning to donate non-perishable food items such as oat meal, non-sugar cereal, honey, brown sugar, brown rice Campbell soup cans, dry beans & lentils.
